Sold Out – Used Tissues For $79.99

Products like this one – https://www.vaevtissue.com/shop/vaevtissue – tick me off because they deceive people.

Vaev sells used tissues to enable you to become sick on your terms.  I’m not kidding.

The fundamental concept is to use a controversial counter-intuitive notion to sell a commodity at an excessive price to gullible people who are not inclined to critical or analytical thinking.

I didn’t watch their “Train Your Immune System” video because I was concerned excessive eye-rolling would ensue.

You are frequently exposed to viruses on surfaces you touch, especially if you don’t always wash your hands before eating or touching your face. You are already training your immune system.

Viruses do not survive for long periods of time outside of your body. Viruses that cause stomach upsets and flu can survive for minutes to a few hours. Cold viruses can survive for several days, in some instances for a few weeks.

The product is described like this:

“Specifically engineered to contain and absorb colloid buildup, salts, antiseptic enzymes, immunoglobulins, and glycoproteins such as lactoferrin and mucins, produced by goblet cells in the mucous membranes and submucosal glands.”

What this means in plain English is that the tissues contain snot and are capable of absorbing more snot. No statements or warranties are made about the product containing any infectious material.

The marketing message is that using the tissues allows you to choose when you get sick. Nonsense. Illness occurs when a susceptible host encounters a pathogen. The tissues do nothing to modify susceptibility and aren’t likely to contain any virulent organisms.

At $79.99 a box, Vaev tissues could help blow your mind and budget as well as your nose.
